SALES 55% UP ON LAST YEAR

February 17, 2012

Amid all the doom & gloom about the economy, the euro and all the other depressing news, we are delighted to report that as of today, Friday 17th February we have sold 55% more houses than at the same time last year.

Activity levels have been consistently very good since the start of the year and this has resulted in us successfully negotiating sales on many of our properties in the last six weeks. Many of the properties we have on our books that are not yet sold are getting very good search results on rightmove and findaproperty.com.

If you want to discuss the marketing of a property in Glenfield, Groby, Ratby, Kirby Muxloe, Markfield or Anstey we would be delighted to hear from you.

Welcome to our new website

September 14, 2011

I’m really chuffed that you are taking the time to have a look at our brand new updated website. Now that we have been selling property in Glenfield for ten years we have recently re-branded our whole company from for sale boards, to office signage, letterheads and now the website.

Whether you are a past, current or future client or are just showing an interest in Newby & Co we would be delighted to hear what you think of our website.

I have seen many changes in the last ten years and even more in my 26 years of working in estate agency in the Leicestershire area. When I started in 1985 for sale boards and press advertising were the main forms of marketing. Today we have the addition of on-line marketing through our own site but also many property portals such as rightmove andfindaproperty.com which we subscribe to fully. I also feel that the talent and commitment of our sales staff in the office are crucial – we spend a lot of our time calling, emailing and posting marketing material to the hundreds of buyers registered on our mailing list to ensure that as many people as possible are aware of each and every property we have on our books.

Please familiarise yourself with this website – All of properties can be found from the “Properties” page or from the “Quick Search” facility on the home page. This is updated every two hours!

See the mugshots of “The Team” – it’s always nice to put a face to the voice and when we call out to see you in your home clients feel more at ease when they know who to expect.

The companies on our “Links” page are firms that we have a long standing relationship with and who we feel confident will provide you with an excellent service. We would point out however that they are not connected with us, do not pay us to recommend them and we do not accept any responsibility for their actions or service standards.

The “Contact Us” page contains a map if you need help finding our offices.

The “Testimonials” are all genuine comments we have received from recent clients – we hope that you will be as pleased with our service!

We hope you will visit this website regularly – we aim to post plenty of articles and comments on the “News” page to keep you advised, informed and entertained about matters that affect the housing market and the local communities in which we work.

Recent report from the Nationwide

September 14, 2011

A recent report from the Nationwide has said that “house prices fell slightly in August with values expected to stay the same or drift modesty lower for the rest of 2011”

Should we be concerned about this? Firstly I would say that for every report that says one thing there are other reports that will indicate the opposite. Also as far as I am concerned a healthy market is not necessarily one where prices are rising. August for us was an excellent month in the sense that we sold more houses, listed more new instructions and had more clients complete their moves than any other month this year. For us a good market is one where our clients are happy and moving on!

The moral of this story is don’t believe what you read in the press. Come and talk to us – we will tell you how it is – we know better than anyone how the local market is!
